We had great weather, wonderful volunteers and two course records. Karl Meltzer
ran a smart race and finished in 8:07. The old record set by Ian Torrance
was 8:36. Karl is one fast dude.
Although Karl's performance was impressive, Petra Pirc is a woman to watch.
In her first run over 26 miles she set a course record at 9:54, 31 minutes
faster than the old record set by Ruth Zollinger. This gal is tough! If it
wasn't for Petra, Valerie Caldwell would have also broken the old women's
record with an impressive 10:16.
